Nederlands Theater Festival is the biggest celebration of Dutch and Flemish theatre in the Netherlands, lasting for eleven days and offering an extensive program for the general public, youth and professionals.
Every year since 2018, we revisit the visual identity and campaign concept that we designed back then, giving it a fresh twist that brings excitement around the revealing of the festival program.
For the '22 campaign, we came up with the theme 'NTF breaks through'. In the year when Covid-19 regulations were finally over, Nederlands Theater Festival went back to its native format: live shows at multiple theatre venues in Amsterdam. After two editions of fully online and hybrid formats, it was time to celebrate and bring the energy to the streets.
For this campaign, we made the festival land in the city like a meteorite, surprisingly and impossible to miss. We designed a range of colorful meteorites to present the different categories of the event program. Each meteorite was created in 3D, animated, and it 'broke through' diverse outdoor and online campaign formats.
