Frascati is a dynamic and innovative theater organization rooted in Amsterdam, with a focus on fostering contemporary art and supporting artists. They place a strong emphasis on the role of urban dynamics in their activities, weaving social relevance into their productions, presentations, and contextual programming. Within this framework, Frascati International emerges as a progressive, independent platform, bringing international artists to Amsterdam and creating fertile ground for cross-cultural collaborations. This initiative supports Frascati’s mission to explore new horizons and perspectives, welcoming diverse voices and experimental approaches from around the globe. By opening their doors to makers from far beyond the Netherlands, Frascati International promotes vibrant exchanges between disciplines and audiences, enriching the city’s cultural landscape.
In designing the visual identity for Frascati International, we sought to visually encapsulate their spirit of exploration and openness. We drew on familiar elements from Frascati’s existing brand, such as the 'Banco' font and distinctive dots, but transformed them to create a sub-brand identity that stands apart. To reflect Frascati International’s mission of seeking new perspectives, we introduced new graphic elements, including flexible lines, color gradients, and the 'Suisse Int'l' font. Each performance is assigned a unique color gradient, paired with layouts that weave together photography and graphic elements in a way that is both cohesive and ever-evolving. This approach reflects the unique nature of each international collaboration and ensures a versatile, distinctive identity for Frascati International within the broader Frascati brand.
